The Directive on Empowering Consumers for the Green Transition amends the existing Consumer Rights Directive and the Unfair Commercial Practices Directive with the objective of strengthening consumer protection and further induce demand for more sustainable goods. The directive addresses misleading environmental claims and commercial practices and by facilitating access to relevant consumer rights information.
